Clean Your Computer (Safely)

Do this first

• Shut down & unplug.

• Use a soft, lint-free cloth.

• Avoid spraying liquid directly on devices.

Screen & case

1. Lightly dampen cloth with water or 70% isopropyl alcohol.

2. Wipe gently; avoid ports/openings. (Apple & Microsoft allow 70% IPA on hard surfaces.) Apple Support+1

Keyboard & vents

1. Turn device upside-down; shake out debris.

2. Use short bursts of compressed air at an angle to clear keys/vents. (Vendors recommend gentle, controlled bursts.) Microsoft Support

Why this helps: Dust traps heat; cleaning improves cooling and lifespan.
