Back Up Your Files (3-2-1 Made Simple)

3-2-1 rule: 3 copies, 2 different types of storage, 1 off-site copy (e.g., cloud). Apple Support

Windows (choose one or both)

  1. OneDrive PC folder backup:
    Start → OneDrive → turn on Desktop/Documents/Pictures backup.

  2. File History / Backup:
    Settings → AccountsWindows backup or Backup → add an external drive → turn on.

Mac (Time Machine)

  1. Plug in an external drive.

  2. System Settings → GeneralTime MachineAdd Backup Disk → select drive.

Why this helps: Hardware fails and ransomware happens—automatic backups mean you can recover quickly.
